Charlie McNairy
CEO/CIO, Intl. Farming

Charlie McNairy is a seventh-generation farmer and the founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Investment Officer of International Farming (I.F.). Since establishing the firm in 2009, he has directed more than $3 billion in acquisitions spanning farmland, midstream infrastructure, and agricultural technology across a broad range of geographies and crop types.
Charlie’s roots in agriculture run deep. His family’s farming enterprises, founded in 1871, shaped his understanding of the land long before his professional career began. He went on to launch that career at Morgan Stanley in New York, where he focused on principal investments, mergers and acquisitions, and REIT advisory within the firm’s real estate division.
A Morehead Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Charlie was a member of two Final Four basketball teams under Hall of Fame head coach Dean Smith. He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
