Maxence Foucault is a Natural Capital Specialist within BNP Paribas Asset Management’s Sustainability Centre, where he helps shape the firm’s strategy on nature based solutions. With two decades of experience across ESG, private assets, and risk and performance analysis, Maxence brings a uniquely cross disciplinary perspective to sustainable real asset investing.
He joined BNP Paribas Asset Management’s Sustainability Centre in 2022 as ESG Specialist and Private Assets Lead, later expanding his remit to natural capital. Since the acquisition of International Woodland Company in 2023 by BNP Paribas Asset Management, Maxence has played a key role in structuring and promoting natural capital investment strategies, particularly in forestry and agriculture.
Before his current role, he served as Head of ESG at BNP Paribas Capital Partners, where he designed and implemented the firm’s responsible investment strategy. He previously worked as a fund manager in the Incubation Department, investing in hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital, after joining the team as an investment analyst in 2017.
Earlier in his career, he held roles in fund risk and performance analysis at BNP Paribas Asset Management, BP2S, and Fortis Investments.
Maxence holds a Master’s degree in Asset Management from Université Paris Dauphine and is based in Nanterre in France.
