Arif is Head of Natural Capital – Farmland Solutions, responsible for the strategic growth of Van Lanschot Kempen’s Farmland Franchise.
Previously, he oversaw the firm’s UK investment proposition to clients, focusing on strategic and tactical asset allocation, portfolio construction across public and private markets, and delivering sustainable, risk-controlled returns. He also served as Head of People for the UK business.
Before joining Van Lanschot Kempen in 2020, Arif was a Fiduciary Manager at LGIM and helped build their fiduciary offering. He also led LGIM’s Strategic Client Relationship team, advising major UK pension funds on risk and derivative strategies. He began his career at Mercer, advising institutional clients on investment strategy, manager selection, and performance.
Arif holds a BSc (Hons) in Industrial Economics from the University of Warwick, is a CFA Charterholder, and was named a Rising Star in Asset Management by Financial News in 2021.
