Colin Butterfield is the CEO and Managing Partner of Solum Partners, a $2B investment management firm dedicated to building scalable, sustainable platforms across the fresh produce and food supply chain. He oversees the firm’s global strategy, investment deployment, and portfolio performance, and serves on the boards of multiple portfolio companies.
Previously, Colin was Managing Director and Head of Natural Resources at Harvard Management Company, where he restructured and repositioned a multibillion-dollar portfolio, creating proprietary investment platforms while enhancing governance and oversight. Before Harvard, he was CEO of Radar SA, a $2.2 billion farmland investment joint venture between TIAA-CREF and Cosan SA. Earlier, as President of Cosan Alimentos, he spearheaded the turnaround and strategic sale of the business.
Colin holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP).
