Ramón Rivera Olalquiaga
Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance (Babson College, Massachusetts), PADE (IESE, Madrid), and ADECA (San Telmo, Seville).
He has been CEO of Elaia since its founding in 2007, an agricultural company dedicated to the cultivation of permanent crops, owned by Atitlan. From Elaia, they have developed and managed more than 20,000 hectares of olive groves, almond trees, and citrus in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
He is currently Co-CEO of ATGRO, the global investment platform focused on developing agricultural projects, launched by Atitlan and Banco Santander.
ATGRO plans to develop a broad portfolio of products (nuts and "superfruits") diversified across geographies (Europe, America, and North of Africa).
The project originates from Atitlan's existing productive investments in pistachios and in 2024 completed its first transaction in Latam, which involves entering as the majority partner in the Peruvian company Ecosac, the country's second-largest grape exporter, with annual business volume exceeding $200 million. Additionally, its growth will revolve around developing new crops and acquiring production assets.
